HAPPY 2012 FROM EMOTIONAL DIRECTIONS™!

Merry Christmas from Emotional Directions™!

This week’s “Emotional Directions™ Words of the Week” is a very personal piece of mine.  I had always wanted to create a lyric which conveyed the feeling of wanting to take a loved one back in time and personally showing them key moments of my life.  So, as I began to write one day, a lyric started to form and take shape.  This lyric ended up becoming “Take You Back.”

I recently began thinking of “Take You Back” as this past weekend was the anniversary of my grandmother’s (Granny as I called her) passing.  She was such a supporter of me and loved me with all her heart and soul.  There wasn’t one thing Granny wouldn’t do for me.  Her death took a tremendous toll on myself and my family.  However, I know she is always with me and her love lives on forever.

The other portion of “Take You Back” refers to an animal park I used to visit on a frequent basis when I was younger.  I learned so much about nature and biology, while at the same time making friends and memories that will stay with me always.

I hope you enjoy “Take You Back.”  I truly wish I could personally take each and every one of you back to those moments in time.
