It’s amazing what a funny animal Life can be. It can bring a person the happiest of highs, or the saddest of lows. It can bring people into one’s life for a lifetime, or it can bring a person into one’s life for a fleeting moment. Life teaches us all things about ourselves on a daily basis. It teaches us what is priority for our soul’s nourishment. It teaches us what we will and will not put up with. It teaches us how to find one’s true self.
These past few years have been a roller coaster ride for myself. I have been all over the map emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I have discovered things about myself I never knew existed, while at the same time trying to stay true to who I am. There were stumbles and obstacles along the way. I fell down. I got back up. I hurt people I love and who love me. I humbly asked for forgiveness with the most sincerest and most heartfelt apologies. The list goes on and on.
With that being said, I have come to decision to close Emotional Directions – at least for the time being. There are still many things I must work on for myself. Personal things. Spiritual things. Intimate things. It is not fair to Emotional Directions, nor fair to those wanting updates and new things from Emotional Directions to allow stagnation, distraction and apathy to cause things to be done in a “half assed” manner. (Please, pardon my language.) I will not hear of it! Things must be done right and all the way, or not at all!
So, what does all this mean for the immediate future? All Emotional Directions social media pages will change to personal pages for me, myself, Joe Nielsen. These social media account “handles” will change, making “@EDirections” obsolete. They will no longer be used as networking tools for me to further my artistic consultant skills. I will now be posting more items I find to be interesting, important and/or newsworthy. These items will still include the arts, but other facets of life will become more prevalent, too: politics, human interest stories and more personal insights into who I am as a person, to name just a few.
I want to thank everybody from the bottom of my heart who have been fans and/or supporters of me and Emotional Directions through the years. I want to thank my partner, Robert, for his unconditional love and support. I want to thank my good friend and Emotional Directions Webmistress, Clari, for her amazing talent and dedication to the website. I want to thank my other friends, my other family members for all of their love. Without them, I could never have enjoyed the journey I rode with Emotional Directions. I love you all very, very much!
Who knows where this crazy animal named Life will lead me, Emotional Directions and the rest of us? I surely don’t. But I look forward to seeing where it does in the end. So, again, thank you to everyone who has given love and support to both me and Emotional Directions. You are forever in my heart.
